On Sunday afternoon, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters rescue a female who was injured after they struck a dock in Antioch.
Battalion Chief Bob Atlas said firefighters responded to the Antioch Marina after a report of a boat that had crashed into the docks at Monica’s Riverview,
Upon arrival, firefighters located a boat with multiple occupants on it, which prompted a full water rescue response. Firefighters were able to reach the boat and transfer the victims to CONFIRE resources before taking them back to shore.
“This incident had two injuries, one patient left the scene signing off that they were okay while another patient was transported to John Muir Walnut Creek,” said Atlas.
