The City of Walnut Creek begins a series of road construction projects that begins Monday, June 15 in multiple neighborhoods throughout the city.
The city is will be performing slurry seal applications in four neighborhoods which include:
- Tampico
- Diablo Shadows
- Valley Vista
- Alfred Avenue
What to Expect
This final phase of the project is expected to generate the most significant traffic impacts. Residents and commuters should prepare for:
- Temporary No-Parking Restrictions: Vehicles parked in restricted zones during work hours will be subject to towing.
- Road & Lane Closures: Expect delays and temporary detours. Please plan your routes accordingly and drive with caution through work zones.

The City of Walnut Creek says they realize what an inconvenience this surface treatment is to residents and will try to maintain access and minimize any expected lane closures or delays.
