On Tuesday, the Concord Tourism Improvement District will provide their annual report to the city council showing a dip in tourism for 2024-2025–after several years of growth.
Beth Javen, Executive Director of the CTID, will give the report to the council and highlight Visit Concord’s efforts made the following Direct Travel Impacts in 2024-2025:
- Overnight Visitor volume (person-trips) decreased 1.2% from 546,400 visitors in 2024 to 539,700 visitors in 2025.
- Visitor spending was $211.6 million in 2025; a 0.2% decrease compared to the previous year.
- Direct earnings (wages, benefits, and proprietor income generated by travel) grew 4.4%, from $85.0 million in 2024 to $88.8 million in 2025.
- Direct travel generated employment gained approximately 20 jobs in 2025; a 0.9% increase compared to the previous year.
- Tax revenue generated by visitor spending totaled $16.6 million in 2025, a 0.6% decrease compared to 2024.
- In 2025, visitors spent $211.6 million, a 0.2% decrease compared to the previous year.
2025–2026 Projections
The cost of providing improvements and activities for 2025–2026 is consistent with the Management District Plan.
The anticipated estimated total budget for 2025–2026 is $696,970 in anticipated collections and $410,575 in carryover funds, for a total budget of $1,107,545.
Established in 2013
The Concord Tourism Improvement District (CTID) was initially approved by the City in May 2013 and extended for a 10-year period as of November 28, 2017. Hotels located within the District with more than 30 rooms, presently and in the future (which includes the Concord Reuse Project Area), are included in CTID. The following hotels are part of the existing CTID:

According to VisitConcord, they are the brand identity of the Concord Tourism Improvement District (TID) Agency and is funded by the 3 percent collection of an assessment paid by guests on all room bookings from participating hotels in Concord.
