The California CHP is investigating an overnight fatal crash in the area of Walnut Blvd near Vacsco Road in unincorporated Bentwood.
The crash was reported around 9:45 pm Thursday where a vehicle entered a “lake” on a local farm and the driver was unconscious and still in the vehicle.
When Contra Costa County Sheriff deputies arrived on scene, it was determined the vehicle was partially in the lake and immediately began CPR on the driver of the vehicle. After life saving measures were taken, the victim was pronounced on scene. The county coroner was requested.
The CHP has not yet released any information on the incident.
