Here is an updated look at July 4 celebrations across Contra Costa County — which include firework shows, parades, music and more.
As a reminder, all fireworks in Contra Costa County are illegal – even “safe and sane” ones – and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District is urging the public to leave the fireworks to the pros, especially with high fire danger as the fields turned brown.

Join the City of Antioch in celebrating Independence Day in our historic Rivertown. Visit Waldie Plaza to experience live entertainment and enjoy local food vendors and trucks. Have an exciting time with friends and family in the Games Zone located at City Hall, before picking your spot to see the big fireworks show.
- Parade Route: The parade will begin at the intersection of W 2nd St. and E St. Antioch, CA at 4 pm. The Judge’s Station will be located at the center of Waldie Plaza. A second parade performance stop will be on W 3rd St. next to City Hall. We will finish the parade on W 3rd St. at the corner of D St.
- Celebration Site: The main celebration site will take place in Waldie Plaza and the parking lot of City Hall, encompassing W 2nd St. to W 3rd St. and G St. to I St. There are many occurrences within the celebration site, including a live entertainment stage, local vendors, food trucks, kids zone, DJ stage, and much more

City of Brentwood
Join the City of Brentwood and community partners for a citywide celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. The celebration begins with the America 250 Parade through Downtown Brentwood at 9:30 AM. Following the parade, the celebration continues throughout Brentwood with activities, exhibits, entertainment, and experiences that highlight the people, industries, and ideals that helped shape our community and our nation. Join us at City Park for the official Opening Ceremony beginning at 11:30 AM as we kick off an afternoon of celebration, reflection, and community pride.

- DOWNTOWN DECORATING CONTEST: Presented by the Downtown Brentwood Coalition, local businesses will participate in a patriotic decorating contest, transforming downtown storefronts into a community-wide tribute to America’s 250th anniversary.
City of Concord:
Get ready to celebrate as the City of Concord comes together for a full day of fun, family traditions, live entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks show!

Independence Day Parade: Get a good seat along the parade route to watch Concord Celebrate its diverse and incredible community from its classic cars, unique floats, dance troops, local businesses, community organizations, and the Blue Devils Marching Band. Begins at 10:00 am at Todos Santos Plaza
Festival + Fireworks: Come out and enjoy Concord’s Hometown Picnic! ADMISSION IS FREE. Starting at 4:00 PM, the gates will open for the 13th Annual 4th of July Festivities. The event will feature live music on stage, a Stars & Stripes Midway, food and vendor booths, and local artist exhibits. Live entertainment on stage will begin at 5:30 PM featuring a hometown favorite Brooks Lundy and at 7:30 PM we have 3day Weekend. City of Clayton
On Saturday, July 4th, please join in celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States of America! There will be a pancake breakfast from 7 am to 10 am at Endeavor Hall ($10 for adults, $7 for kids under ten). At 10 am is the Kids parade, followed shortly by the Annual 4th of July Parade on Oak Street. We hope to see you there! The Kiwanis-Danville Parade will take place on Saturday, July 4th, 2026 from 9am-noon in downtown Danville, California. Honoring SRVUSD: Great schools + great students = great community! This year’s 2026 Parade Grand Marshal, is San Ramon Valley Unified School District. 2026 marks the 51st anniversary that the Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley first began organizing and conducting the 4th of July Parade in Danville, and Kiwanis has presented a Parade every year since, including the virtual Parade that was held online in COVID year 2020. City of Martinez
The City of Martinez is pleased to announce its 2026 Independence Day Celebration, featuring a full day of events for residents, families, and visitors. This year’s festivities honor two important milestones: the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 150th anniversary of the City of Martinez. The community is invited to celebrate with a series of events taking place on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
- Parade – 10:00am: Hosted by Downtown Martinez & Co., the annual Independence Day Parade will take place on historic downtown Main Street and feature local organizations, civic groups, marching units, classic vehicles, and community representatives.
- Martinez Sturgeons Baseball Game – 12:30pm: Join us for the great American pastime, with a special Independence Day home game featuring the Martinez Sturgeons, playing at Joe DiMaggio Field in Waterfront Park. Concessions and family-friendly activities will be available.
- Fun Fest at Waterfront Park – 5:00 pm: The afternoon will continue with a community Fun Fest at Waterfront Park, offering an activity-filled Kidz Zone, food trucks, professional kite show starting at 6:00pm, and live music starting at 6:30pm. This family-oriented celebration is designed to provide residents of all ages with an enjoyable and safe environment to gather and celebrate the holiday!
- Fireworks Finale – 9:30 pm: The City of Martinez will conclude the day with its annual fireworks display over the Martinez Waterfront. This professionally produced show will begin at 9:30pm and promises to be an outstanding show of dazzling colors and community spirit!

Join the Town of Moraga for a July 4 celebration beginning at 11:00 am. The event will feature food, wine & beer booths. Event is at Moraga Commons Park. Here is a rundown of events.

The Town of Moraga will be hosting a Fourth of July fireworks display at the Moraga Country Club. To ensure the safety of all viewers, and comply with the safety zone established by the Moraga-Orinda Fire District, the Moraga Police Department will close Moraga Way between Hardie Drive and Camino Ricardo at approximately 8:45 pm. The roadway and adjoining sidewalks will remain closed until the fireworks program has concluded. Please advise all family and guests to arrive early and plan to stay until the event has concluded. As in previous years, we anticipate citizens will seek locations near the Moraga Country Club for optimum viewing. The Moraga Police Department will monitor the safety zone and prevent entrance into unsafe areas. We look forward to another successful fireworks presentation and hope you enjoy the event.

City of Orinda
On July 4th, the parade begins at 10 a.m. The will assemble all parade entrants in the East BART lot, as usual, starting at 8 a.m., and we’ll line everyone up at 9:30 a.m. The Parade Route begins in the Theatre District and continues to the Village District ending just past the Community Center. City of Pittsburg
Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary at the Pittsburg Marina! Get ready for an unforgettable Independence Day celebration as the City of Pittsburg proudly commemorates America’s 250th Anniversary with a spectacular waterfront fireworks show and community celebration! Join us on Friday, July 4, at the beautiful Pittsburg Marina for an evening filled with family friendly fun, great food, and patriotic excitement. City of Pleasant Hill
Join the City of Pleasant Hill for a day of events during the July 4 Holiday with a 5k run to fireworks.
The Pleasant Hill 4th of July Commission work hard to put together the largest single-day event in the city. The commission is not part of the City of Pleasant Hill and is an all volunteer non-profit organization that was formed in 1976 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. - 7:45 am: Firecracker 5k & Kids 100-Yard Dash: We invite you to participate in our Firecracker 5K Race or kids 100-yard dash! Prizes for the top finishers.
- 9:30 am: Come to Downtown Pleasant Hill and see the World Famous Pleasant Hill Parade!
- 10:30 am: After the parade ends, walk over to Pleasant Hill Park for live music, food, and fun for the kids!
- 6:30 pm: Enjoy an evening of fireworks with a viewing party at College Park High School. There will be music, food, and dessert trucks on site. Access is $4 per person (suggested donation).
City of Richmond (July 3):
City of Richmond presents the Annual 3rd of July Fireworks Showcase for 2026. Join us on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Marina Bay Park for our annual community celebration featuring music, food, and activities for all ages. The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show beginning at 9:15 pm. Bring your family, friends, and festive spirit as we come together for one of Richmond’s favorite summer traditions.
City of San Pablo

City of San Ramon
Join the City of San Ramon on July 4 as it hosts 5K run at 8:00 am followed by a July 4 Concert at 5:00 pm with two bands. The 2026 Run San Ramon presented by the City of San Ramon is celebrating its 40th year! Get a healthy start to your 4th of July with this Independence Day Classic. Enjoy the paved and looped 5K/10K course through San Ramon. The Fastest Mile is an out and back. All participants will receive a short sleeve commemorative shirt, bib, and participation medal. The Run San Ramon is a chip timed race –Registration options include online, mail-in, or in person at packet pick up on July 3rd from 1:00PM-5:00PM at Sports Basement San Ramon. Registration online will remain open through July 3rd. Registration will be available on Race Day pending availability.
