The Richmond Police Department announced it wrote 76 tickets and made 2 arrests during a traffic enforcement operation on Tuesday.
According to police, the joint operation with neighboring agencies in Contra Costa County was aimed to focus on roadway safety and reducing dangerous driving behaviors within the community.
During the three-hour operation, officers:
- Issued 76 citations
- Towed 2 vehicles
- Made 2 arrests
- Issued 6 warnings
Police said these enforcement efforts are aimed at addressing violations that contribute to traffic collisions and keeping our streets safe for everyone who lives, works, and travels in Richmond. They also thanked their law enforcement partners from the Hercules Police Department, Pinole Police Department, Oakley Police Department, Brentwood Police Department, and Pittsburg Police Department for their assistance and collaboration during today’s operation.
