Supervisor Candace Andersen joined County leaders, community partners, and behavioral health advocates for the ribbon-cutting celebration of the new Oak Grove Behavioral Health Campus in Concord.
The new campus serves as a centralized hub for behavioral health services, providing easier access to assessments, urgent care, outpatient services, peer support, and connections to housing and other community resources. Funded through Measure X and federal funding secured by Congressman Mark DeSaulnier, the campus reflects Contra Costa County’s continued commitment to expanding compassionate, accessible behavioral health care.
The Oak Grove Behavioral Health Campus is now open and serving residents seven days a week, helping connect individuals and families with the care and support they need.
Site Background
Planning is underway to renovate the county-owned buildings at 1034 Oak Grove Road in Concord to become a new nonemergency mental and behavioral health facility.
The wellness center is designed to offer a unique and compassionate approach to supporting people with their mental and behavioral health needs.
The current buildings at the site will be renovated, while retaining the general layout of the campus.
On Site Services
- Wellness Clinic:
Our Wellness Clinic will provide rapid screening, care and connections to follow-up behavioral health services. It is intended for people in urgent need of behavioral health help but are not in crisis. - Peer Resilience Center:
This center will be a safe and welcoming place for people to receive support from trained peer staff who have personal experience in working towards their own wellness.

On Site Operations
- A3 Miles Hall Crisis Call Center:
The A3 Miles Hall Crisis Call Center is staffed with trained professionals who answer calls to provide support, triage presenting issues, and determine when an in-person response is necessary.
