OAKLAND, Calif. — The East Bay Regional Park District has appointed Chris Wyckoff as Assistant General Manager of Facilities and Infrastructure, effective July 14, 2026. In this newly created role, Wyckoff will lead capital project planning, facility design and construction, and maintenance across the nation’s largest regional park system of its kind. This position strengthens the Park District’s ability to support daily operations and deliver major capital projects.
Wyckoff joined the Park District in 2025 as Division Lead of Maintenance and Skilled Trades, overseeing the department responsible for maintaining the Park District’s buildings, vehicles, equipment, roads, trails, and water and sanitation systems. In that role, he led a staff of 107 and oversaw an annual budget of more than $40 million that supported maintenance operations, internal service funds, and infrastructure programs. During his time as Division Lead, he advanced improvements in project delivery, organizational processes, and employee development.
“Chris has already made a meaningful impact on our organization, and I am excited about the leadership he will bring to this new role,” said Max Korten, Acting General Manager. “He brings people together, builds strong partnerships, and focuses on practical solutions. Those strengths will help us improve coordination across the Park District and better serve East Bay communities.”
Prior to joining the Park District, Wyckoff served as Director of Facilities and Asset Management for the Town of Mooresville, N.C., where he oversaw a $20 million annual operating budget and managed capital projects totaling more than $80 million. His experience spans the full life cycle of capital improvement programs, including prioritization, budget development, conceptual planning, community engagement, design, permitting and bidding, and construction management.

As Assistant General Manager, Wyckoff will work with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to plan and deliver capital investments and strengthen the long-term sustainability of Park District facilities and infrastructure.

The East Bay Regional Park District is the largest regional park system in the nation, comprising 73 parks, 55 miles of shoreline, and over 1,330 miles of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and environmental education.
