On Saturday, 1 person was injured in a 2-alarm house fire in the City of Pittsburg according to Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
Firefighters responded to the 100 block of Panoramic Street Saturday at approximately 3:15 am with heavy smoke and flames showing – a 2nd alarm response was requested with the report of an injury, there was also live wires down which complicated the response.
Ultimately, the fire led to a partial collapse of the roof and walls which led to a defensive fire attack.
One patient was airlifted to UC Davis.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Hours earlier, 2 people were injured in the City of Antioch when a propane tank exploded in a garage leading to a 2-alarm response.
