White Pony Express hosted its annual community drive-thru giveaway event on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Kaiser Permanente Antioch Medical Center. The event celebrated a remarkable milestone: 32 million nutritious meals rescued and delivered to our Contra Costa County neighbors in need.
This free, family-friendly event provided healthy groceries, essential goods, and toys to up to 200 families, identified by the 20 Antioch-based nonprofit partners White Pony Express serves.
Community Support in Action
The drive-thru giveaway featured themed stations where volunteers from White Pony Express and Kaiser distributed:
- Two bags of high-quality groceries in reusable, branded totes
- Hygiene kits
- Toys and books for children
- Treats to sweeten the day
A Celebration of Health, Compassion, and Service
The event reflected the organization’s commitment to improving the overall health and well-being of our communities. The focus areas of the day included:
- Human Services: Ensuring families receive nutritious food and essential goods
- Food as Medicine: Promoting foods that support health and reduce disease risk
