Martinez, CA — The City of Martinez is excited to invite residents, neighbors, and visitors to the Sesquicentennial Festival on Saturday, August 29, celebrating 150 years since the City’s incorporation.
The Festival will be held at the Martinez Waterfront, 245 N Court Street, from 11am – 7pm, and will offer a range of free activities, live entertainment, multiple food and retail options, and one free dessert for every attendee.
Festival Features
The August 29 celebration will transform Waterfront Park and the Marina area into a full‑day festival including:
- Two stages offering live performances
- Free activities for all ages, such as water games, arts and crafts, sports areas, foam parties, bike zone, face painting, and climbing experiences
- A citywide drone photo at 12:30 PM capturing the community together
- A free dessert for every attendee as a Sesquicentennial thank‑you
- Dozens of local organizations hosting activities, displays, and cultural showcases
Planned in partnership with Downtown Martinez & Co. and the Bay Area Craft Beer Festival: Beer Fest is a ticketed event, and pre-purchase tickets are available at www.downtownmartinez.org.

Getting to the Festival
Attendees are encouraged to:
• Park in Downtown Martinez and take convenient shuttles to the Waterfront
• Bike to the event and use the secure, free Bike Valet
• Arrive by Amtrak, located just minutes from the festival grounds
Downtown and Festival-site parking are available, with encouragement to use alternative transportation to support a smoother event experience.
