At approximately 9:20 pm Saturday, Oakley Police Department officers briefly pursued the driver of a ATV before the ATV overturned near East 18th Street and Phillips Lane in Antioch.
The driver was quickly taken into custody by Oakley Police before AMR and Contra Costa County Fire began treatment for facial injuries.
The driver sustained moderate injuries to the head and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
No other details regarding what prompted the pursuit or the circumstances leading up to the crash were released at the scene.
