On Saturday, August 29, 2026, at about 4:45 PM, Delta Station deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a residence on the 2500 block of Sellers Avenue in unincorporated Brentwood regarding a service to citizen call that turned into a barricaded suspect.
Sheriff’s Office helicopter STARR 3 responded and a drone was deployed. The Sheriff’s Office Hostage Negotiation Team (HNT) contacted the suspect who was in a garage. He was later taken into custody without incident after HNT convinced him to surrender.
The suspect is identified as 55-year-old Kevin DeJesus of Brentwood. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on an out of county arrest warrant. His bail is set at $250,000 and he is currently being held in San Joaquin County.
No other information was released.
