AI, Cybersecurity and the Future of Business Take Center Stage at BIZCON 2026 in Brentwood

BIZCON 2026

A major two-day business and technology conference is coming to the City of Brentwood on September 17-18, bringing together business owners, entrepreneurs, technology professionals, government agencies and community leaders for two days focused on what’s next — and how to prepare for it.

The Contra Costa Business Conference AI BizCon (9/17) and CC BizCon (9/18) will bring attendees from across Contra Costa County, the San Francisco Bay Area and around the United States together to talk about artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, leadership, business growth, innovation, economic development and the rapidly changing future of business.

The event is presented by Red Box Business Solutions, in partnership with the City of Brentwood and The Brentwood Chamber of Commerce,

And with technology changing almost daily, organizers say this isn’t about discussing what might happen five or ten years from now. Many of these changes are already here.

Two Conferences. Two Days. One Big Conversation About What Comes Next.

  • September 17: AI BizCon dives into how artificial intelligence and cybersecurity are already changing the way businesses operate, market, communicate and compete. Whether you’re already using AI every day or still wondering where to begin, the conference will explore what businesses should be paying attention to right now — and what may be coming next.
  • September 18: CC BizCon expands the conversation beyond technology and into the bigger picture of building and growing a successful business. That includes business development, sales, marketing, company culture, innovation, leadership, relationships and sustainable business growth.

According to Seana Fippin of Red Box Business Solutions, the goal is to bring Contra Costa County changemakers together for two powerful days of learning, conversations and connections while helping businesses prepare for a future that is arriving quickly.

And one of the biggest conversations will be cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity Is No Longer Just an IT Problem

Businesses are facing cyberattacks every day, while companies, government agencies and critical infrastructure are increasingly being targeted — it is every organizations biggest business risk

For small and mid-sized businesses in particular, one successful attack can be devastating.

“Businesses will need to invest heavily in cybersecurity so they are not wiped out. I’ve seen it happen, and it’s sad,” explained Fippin. “Businesses need to begin preparing for an AI world, and we hope this conference will open their eyes to the growing risks and need for investment in tools to prevent attacks.”

Attendees will hear about the latest cybersecurity threats, emerging risks and compliance requirements — along with steps businesses can take to better protect themselves, their employees and their customers.

But BIZCON isn’t designed to scare businesses about technology.

It’s about showing them how to use it.

Technology Is Creating Incredible Opportunities

Artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies are changing how companies communicate with customers, analyze information, market their products, automate tasks and make decisions.

The businesses that understand these concepts will have a tremendous advantage.

The businesses that ignore them risk being left behind.

That is why BIZCON is bringing technology experts together with business owners, entrepreneurs, executives and community leaders to have conversations that go beyond the latest AI buzzword.

  • How do you actually use this stuff?
  • Where should businesses invest?
  • What risks should owners understand?
  • How can technology help a small business compete with a much larger company?
  • What will AI mean for employees and the workplace?
  • And how do businesses maintain the human relationships and connections that still drive business?

Those are the conversations organizers want happening in Brentwood and county wide.

It’s Also About Who You Meet

For Fippin, BIZCON is about more than soaking up wisdom through presentations.

“Most importantly, we are putting the humanity, heart and connection into technology that is rapidly advancing and changing everything. We are having fun while getting things done,” explained Fippin. “This isn’t a conference where you sit in the back of the room and collect business cards. It’s where conversations turn into connections. Connections turn into opportunities. Opportunities turn into tangible outcomes that help improve our entire community grow and thrive. We level each other up, together.”

That means networking, collaboration and creating high-value connections will be a major part of the two-day event.

There will also be conversations around the intersection of mental health and technology, a topic is as important for humanity as any.

Speakers Bringing Real-World Experience

The two-day event will feature speakers with experience in professional sports, leadership, entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and building businesses from the ground up.

Among the featured speakers:

  • Mike Pawlawski — Former NFL quarterback, author, coach and leadership expert who will bring lessons from professional sports into the business and leadership world.
  • Tim Conkle — Founder and CEO of The 20, bringing extensive experience in entrepreneurship, technology and growing businesses.
  • Mike Bramm — Owner and CEO of Bomber Jacket Networks, who will bring another perspective on technology, leadership and operating a successful business.
  • Rick Moreland, Sutter Health CEO

And then there are three people organizers say could change the way attendees think about their businesses:

  • Robert Boles, Founder and CEO of Blokworx, built a company from the ground up and knows firsthand what it takes to turn an idea into a growing business.
  • Dalton Weger runs Security Operations at Red Box Business Solutions, helping businesses stay one step ahead of cybersecurity threats many owners may not even realize exist.
  • Duane Leem, an AI Engineer at Red Box Business Solutions, is working directly with technology that is reshaping business faster than many companies can keep up with.

Attendees will also hear from Brett and Seana Fippin of Red Box Business Solutions, who have been working with businesses throughout the region on technology, cybersecurity and preparing companies for what comes next.
