Updated: Antioch Police Investigating Saturday Shooting at Twin Creek Apartments

At 11:20 am Saturday, the Antioch Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the Twin Creeks Apartments in the 1100 block of James Donlon Blvd in the City of Antioch.

According to preliminary information, this appears to be a robbery and carjacking attempt that resulted in a 19-year-old man shot. The victim was a passenger in the car who was transported to a local hospital with major injuries.

According to witnesses on scene, the victim and the shooter knew each other from Pittsburg High School. The stolen car is still outstanding.

Antioch Police Spokesperson Ashley Crandell confirmed the shooting saying one male was shot and was expected to survive. No other information was released as of 1:15 pm and she did not confirm witness statements. 

4:00 pm UPDATE per Antioch

On March 11, 2023 at 11:24 am, the Antioch Police Department Communications Center received multiple emergency calls reporting a person shot at the Twin Creeks Apartments (1111 James Donlon Boulevard).

Responding officers located an adult male victim with at least one gunshot wound, who was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition. Officers learned the victim’s vehicle was carjacked by the suspect immediately after the shooting.

This case is being investigated by our Violent Crime Investigations Unit. We are asking residents of the Twin Creeks Apartments to please check their surveillance cameras around the time of the incident (3/11/23 at 11:24 am) for anything unusual or suspicious.
