Oakley Police Say Man Shot Sunday on Lorenzetti Drive

On Sunday, the Oakley Police Department responded to a shooting on the 4300 block of Lorenzetti Drive in the City of Oakley.

According to preliminary information, an adult male sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital for his injuries.  He was able to talk with the officers before he was transported.

A short time later, the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff got into a vehicle pursuit with the suspect vehicle on Highway 4, however, the suspects were able to evade police in the area of Port Chicago Highway area. The vehicle was ultimately located, however, unoccupied. It appears the vehicle did crash.

While searching, one suspect was located in a field (the location and time was not provided) by a canine team and arrested by Oakley Police.

No other information was released and the shooting is still under investigation.
