7 Acre Vegetation Fire Shuts Down Kirker Pass Road

At 3:43 pm Sunday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a roadside fire along Kirker Pass Road in the City of Concord.

While responding, the vegetation quickly spread and forced Kirker Pass Road to shut down to allow fire crews to work the incident and possibly have air support begin water drops.

According to Contra Costa County Fire, the fire was estimated at 7-acres.
