On July 29, 2023 the Oakley Police Department took a missing person report listing Michael Orr (56) as a missing person. Mr. Orr was last known to be in the area of Bridgehead Road and Main Street.
The Oakley Police detectives and members of the Special Service Team conducted several searches for Mr. Orr and we are aware his family and friends conducted several searches as well.
On August 14, 2023 a vineyard worker reported seeing a deceased male along a fence line and adjacent to the railroad tracks and vineyard North of Main Street and West of Big Break Road. Oakley Police personnel responded to the scene to investigate and collect the male. Today the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office positively identified the male as Mr. Orr.
The City of Oakley extends condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. Orr.
