Annual Tree of Lights to Begin Nov. 5

Pleasant Hill, CA – Hospice East Bay is proud to be celebrating our Annual Tree of Lights! For 37 years these ceremonies have provided a way for families and friends to honor their loved ones and find solace in the symbolism of light as the names of their loved ones are read.

Beginning on November 5th and running through December 8th, there will be ten ceremonies at locations throughout the East Bay. Each event will feature a reading of memorial names and a symbolic tree lighting. Please check the schedule below for specific ceremonies.

The funds raised by these events help Hospice East Bay provide services to everyone in our East Bay communities, regardless of their ability to pay. Through your gifts, we are also able to offer programs, such as music therapy, children’s grief and veteran-centered care, which are not offered by most hospices.

“Our Tree of Lights events bring together a very welcoming community of people, each at different stages of grief, to remember and honor their family and friends,” said Mats Wallin, VP of Fund Development. “It’s a very touching moment for the families and a good way to support the important work of Hospice East Bay in our community.”

We hope you will be able to join us for one or more of this year’s ceremonies. Please visit our event website for more information regarding each specific ceremony.
