Beginning on May 13, 2024, residents of cities in east Contra Costa County who wish to petition for domestic violence restraining orders (DVROs) in matters that do not involve children may file their petitions at the Richard E. Arnason Justice Center located at 1000 Center Street in Pittsburg.
Hearings on these petitions will be held in Pittsburg on Monday mornings, beginning at 8:30 a.m., excepting Court holidays.
To determine if you may file these petitions in Pittsburg, please refer to the list of cities and ZIP codes on the Court’s website at https://www.cc-courts.org/general/where-to-file.aspx . If your city/ZIP code shows “your courthouse” as the Richard E. Arnason Justice Center, then you will be able to file these DVRO petitions in Pittsburg.

April 4: Court to Initiate Online Ability to Pay Tool for Infractions
As part of the California courts’ continuing effort to expand access to justice, effective April 10, 2024, the Court will begin using MyCitations, an online option for those struggling to pay fines resulting from infractions.
MyCitations allows Court users to look up citations online, and to request a reduction in the amount owed based on their financial situation, a payment plan, more time to pay, or community service. This new option expands that service and allows users to make these requests without having to come to Court offices.
