On Saturday, Susannah Meyer officially announced she will be running for the mayor of the city of Brentwood.
Meyer, who is currently the vice mayor, teased the announcement several weeks ago at the elected women’s luncheon, however, she officially made the announcement in a social media video Saturday morning.
She offered no details of her platform, but would release more information in the future as she was launching her campaign.
Back in 2020, when she ran for Brentwood City Council, her priorities included:
- Building stronger community partnerships with nonprofits and elected leaders to bring additional senior and youth services to the city.
- Working to ensure our local small businesses have every opportunity to succeed as we work through the financial impacts of COVID-19.
- Public Safety to best serve our community: What do we want our police department to look like and how do we better work with our fire department to improve service and response times?
In the 2020 election, Meyer carried 44.31% of the vote defeating Indriani Golden (30.14%) and Olga Vidriales (25.55%)
