San Pablo Police Investigating Armed Robbery of Jewelry Store

The San Pablo Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a jewelry store after armed suspects made off with more than $100k in merchandise in the City of San Pablo.

The incident occurred at 4:00 pm Saturday when at least five people entered the H Bee Jewelry business in the San Pablo Town Center. The crew was believed to be larger than those who entered the business.

Captain Brian Bubar confirmed Tuesday that the suspects entered wearing masks and gloves while being armed with guns. They came in and held up the owner and multiple  employees while they committed the robbery.

Initial reports were that more than $500k in merchandise was stolen, however, Bubar said Tuesday they are still working to determine a total loss but did say the amount was more than $100k.

“They accessed through a back door,” said Bubar. “They followed an employee coming through a back door and forced their way through the back of the store. No one was injured and no one was shopping at the time.”

The investigation is still active and no suspect information or vehicle description was provided.
