Robbery Suspect Arrested After Bringing Firearm to Brentwood Police Station

The Brentwood Police Department announced the arrest of a 30-year-old Oakland man in conneciton with a March 21 robbery in the City of Brentwood.

On March 21, 2023 our officers responded to the 2400 block of Emerald Bay Drive for a robbery that just occurred.  It was reported that the suspects physically assaulted the victim and forced the victim to give them their property. After a month’s long investigation, Detectives identified one of the suspects as, 30 year-old Rafael Reyes of Oakland.

According to police, this week, Detectives and Brentwood officers responded to the front of the Police Department to meet with Reyes and execute a search warrant on his vehicle.  Upon contacting Reyes and the two additional juvenile occupants (ages 16 and 17), a patrol officer located a loaded and unregistered gun on one the juvenile occupants.

As of today, Reyes has been placed under arrest for robbery, false imprisonment, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle; among other charges.  The juveniles were also placed under arrest for gun related charges.
