Update: Stockton Police Confirm Homicide Suspect Arrest in Antioch

The Stockton Police Department confirmed the arrest of Carlos Palacios was arrested in connection with homicide in the City of Stockton.

According to Stockton Police, on March 18, 2024, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Officers responded to the area of E Market St/ S E St on a report of a person shot. Officers arrived on scene and located a 40-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers attempted life-saving measures until AMR transported him to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Homicide Detectives were called out to assume the investigation.

On May 6, in the City of Antioch, An arrest warrant was issued for 28-year-old Carlos Palacios in connection to this homicide. On May 6, 2024, with the assistance of our US Marshal Task Force partners, Palacios was taken into custody in Antioch, CA. He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for homicide charges.

This remains an ongoing investigation.

A man wanted in connection with a homicide in the City of Stockton has been arrested in the City of Antioch on Monday.

At just before 12:00 pm Monday, a manhunt was underway in the City of Antioch where law enforcement attempted to track down a man wanted for murder in the City of Stockton.

By 5:00 pm, Carlos Palacios, 28, was in custody after yard-to-yard searching had been occurring since approximately 2:00 pm. No details on the case or homicide he was wanted in was provided at the scene.

The US Marshals, Stockton Police Department, San Joaquin County Sheriff, Contra Costa County Sheriff and Antioch Police Department all were on scene.

Law Enforcement is searching for a suspect who fled the area.  Carlos Palacios is a 28-year-old Hispanic male.  He is 5 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and goatee facial hair.
