The Pleasant Hill Police Department announced an arrest of two individuals who attempted a retail theft at Target in the City of Pleasant Hill.

As officers were patrolling the Target parking lot, one of the officers was flagged down about a push-out-theft involving three females. K9 Officer Kuhn ran down one of the subjects and one of the others was found in the In-N-Out Burger bathroom. Police were able to recover five shopping carts full of merchandise.

The arrested suspects were:

  • Patience Renee Washington, 18 from city of Antioch

Both subjects were booked into county jail on grand theft charges. The total loss and recovery from the Target store was approximently $4k in value.

According to Lt. Kristic, the K9 officer that was flagged down was patrolling that Target shopping center specifically for the purpose of theft suppression and it paid off.

Back in November, police announced a series of arrests in regards to retail theft.

We’ve got just under 2 weeks left for our Toy & Gift Card Drive initiative. We’ve received some awesome donations so far and look forward to being able to share these items with children in our community this season who could benefit from some extra cheer.

For those who haven’t donated yet but still hope to do so, we will continue to accept unwrapped toys, games and gift cards through December 13th.

At this point in time, GIFT CARDS are the items we are most in need of, primarily for those teens and tweens who might be too “old” to play with toys but still hope to find something to open and enjoy over the holidays. I think most of us can agree that teenagers can be a little tricky to shop for, so we definitely hope to put together some gift card options this year too. We’ve also included some other ideas on a little “wish list” for anyone who might be wondering what the kids today are into

Thanks for partnering with us this holiday season Pleasant Hill, and helping us to help others.
