Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) Detectives developed information regarding two gang members involved in the mass distribution of methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine. GSU identified the subjects as validated gang members, 34-year-old Robert Sarabia and 28-year-old Jesus Salas.

After a thorough investigation, GSU developed sufficient probable cause and authored a search warrant for the three residential locations.

On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Sheriff’s SED and Sacramento Police SWAT assisted GSU and executed search warrants at all three locations.

The subsequent searches revealed a total of:

  • 80 pounds of methamphetamine
  • 5 pounds of cocaine
  • 100 M-30 pills (suspected fentanyl)
  • 1 Glock .40 caliber handgun
  • 2 FN-47 handguns
  • $12,000 in cash
  • $6,000 in counterfeit US currency

Sarabia and Salas were subsequently booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on numerous narcotics and firearms charges. Sarabia has since posted bond on his $200,000 bail; Salas remains in custody on $1,000,000 bail.

Both are scheduled to appear in court on April 12, 2023, at 8:30 am.
