Concord Police Make Organized Retail Theft Bust

The Concord Police Department announced they have taken two suspects into custody in an organized retail theft bust.
Police credited a newly installed Flock camera which alerted a Concord Police investigator to a felony vehicle in the City of Concord.  The vehicle was linked to a CPD investigation for organized retail theft of thousands of dollars in merchandise from local stores.
Police said two suspects were taken into custody and were responsible for a multitude of crimes committed all over the Bay Area. In this incident, police did not provide any details such as:
  • Suspects name/age/location
  • Local stores impacted by the theft
  • Actual cost of product loss or recovery
  • Location of the arrest
  • Other locations in the Bay Area impacted

Concord Police Say 4 GUNS FROM ONE TRAFFIC STOP
On April 1, Concord Police announced they had multiple disturbance calls in the area of Arnold Industrial Pl. SET Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle leaving the area and the four adult male occupants were contacted.
The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of an amount of narcotics and all the occupants were asked to exit the vehicle. Two of the occupants had concealed loaded firearms on their persons and were placed under arrest.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the locating of two other loaded firearms, approximately 200 suspected fentanyl pills, and suspected ecstasy pills. All four subjects were arrested on a multitude of firearm and narcotics related charges.
Concord police failed to identify any of the suspects in terms of their name, age, or city they are from.

Concord Police Get Illegal Firearm Off the Street
On March 25, the Concord Police Department announced on social media they got an illegal firearms off the streets.  Officers of the Special Enforcement Team (SET) were conducting foot patrols in the area of Pine Street and Clayton Road when they contacted a subject that was on searchable Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).
A records check revealed the subject was a previously convicted felon and had an outstanding felony warrant for narcotics and firearms offenses. The subject was arrested for the outstanding warrant and narcotics was located on his person.
Further investigation was conducted and during a search of the subject’s residence ammunition and a short barreled un-serialized AR style assault rifle was located. The subject was ultimately arrested and booked into County Jail for assorted narcotic and firearms related charges and the felony warrant.
Concord Police did not identify the suspect (name/age/location) and did not say when they actually contacted the subject or when the search of the residence occurred.
