Concord Man Arrested in Walnut Creek Burglaries

The Walnut Creek Police Department announced that a Concord man has been arrested in connection with several commercial burglaries.

According to police, between September 2022 and March 2023, four commercial burglaries were reported in the 2400 block of Buena Vista Ave.

On March 22nd, 2023, Walnut Creek Police Department sought the public’s assistance by posting a video and image on social media of the suspect responsible for these burglaries. WCPD received several leads from the public and Detectives were able to identify Joseph Alan RAMOS (36 year old Concord resident) as the suspect.

A warrant was issued for Ramos and he was arrested on June 5th in Sacramento County on the WCPD warrant, additional warrants, and new charges by the arresting agency.

On June 8th, this case was presented to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office and the following felony charges were filed: Penal Code 459 – Second Degree Commercial Burglary (four counts)

Ramos remains in custody in Sacramento County and will later be transferred to Contra Costa County.
