The Drama Factory is seeking actors for its upcoming show in October and are hosting auditions on August 7-8.
“The House on Galloway Street. A Ghost Story ” is an original work by local author and director John Ballesteros. They are searching for a couple of dozen cast and crew members so we need everyone to come out and participate in this one.
According to the Drama Factory, it is a ghost story, yes, but it is a slice of life story that asks us about what exactly might cause a ghost to haunt a house ? Or is the house even haunted ? Join our actors as the group who are trying to have these questions answered. It’s dark and it’s for Halloween.
The Drama Factor Open Auditions
- August 7 & August 8 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Nick Rodriquez Theatre (213 F Street) in the City of Antioch.
- Production Dates are October 13-21.
- Seeking 20+ actors and crew of varying ages from youth to adult.
ORIENTATION is on 08/13/23 at 4:00 pm
- Minors MUST have a parent or guardian accompany them to the Orientation for paperwork and scheduling confirmation.
- Rehearsals will begin 08/15/23 and continue every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 7-9pm
- Tech rehearsals begin 10/06 and are from 6-10pm
- We like all ages and experience levels to join us. Volunteer also to be a member of our CREW on the audition dates !
- The CAST LIST will be posted to the website on FRIDAY August 11 unless we require call-backs !
Auditions usually entail some cold reading and a little improv. You need to bring nothing but yourself . We take a headshot, have you fill out some paperwork and in you go ! There is no pre-casting. You audition to be a part of the production. When the cast list is posted on Friday, it does not include the role you have been cast in. We deliver that information at orientation.
