Brentwood Police Arrest Two After Retail Theft at TJ Maxx

The Brentwood Police Department announced that last week, officers arrested two people who stole merchandise in a retail theft from TJ Maxx in the City of Brentwood.

According to police, Officers were called to TJMaxx for a report of two females that had just stolen a large bag of merchandise from the store and left in a vehicle. Shortly after, officers located the vehicle at the Streets of Brentwood and saw the two females attempting to steal from Victoria’s Secret in another retail theft.

Officers immediately detained 23 year-old Mariah Vasquez of Concord, and 22 year-old Shacorey Wyatt of San Francisco. Wyatt who initially lied to police about her name, is also on two counts of probation out of Alameda County and had four outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Officers recovered $1200 of stolen merchandise, and both Vasquez and Wyatt were placed under arrest for organized retail theft. Wyatt had additional charges for probation violation, the warrants, and providing a false ID to a peace officer.

Both Wyatt and Vasquez were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility for booking. A big thank you to the Loss Prevention employees who called in this incident and assisted us with locating the suspects.
