The Brentwood Police Department announced an arrest for fraud after they made a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration.
According to police, the incident occurred last week as an officer was patrolling the Lone Tree Plaza. Upon seeing expired registration, the officer did a traffic stop and while speaking to the driver, identified as 50 year-old Diego Martinez of the city of Antioch Antioch, the second officer on scene noticed drugs hanging out of Martinez’s pocket.
The officers searched Martinez’s car and found brass knuckles, numerous Driver’s Licenses, credit cards, checkbooks, blank check sheets, opened mail from the IRS and Social Security office; which did not belong to Martinez.
Martinez, a convicted felon, was placed under arrest for fraud related charges, possession of the brass knuckles and drugs. He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility for booking

Another loser from Antioch.
Criminals love it here. Every hustler in the Bay Area is putting down roots in Antioch yet city leadership ignores this fact and continues to create a climate which says “welcome.” Darn shame!
The only bad part about this is that the officer is going to spend more time writing the report than the time the person arrested is going to spend in jail
If everything the police allege is true, prosecuters will have an easy time giving this person prison time considering his prior record. Somehow, I don’t think it takes a cop 1-3 years to enter some items into evidence but I could be wrong – maybe in Brentwood it does, who knows. If only people’s IQ was even 1% the size of their bank accounts, maybe they could form a coherent thought that was actually based in reality.
