The California Highway Patrol announced the arrest of Javier Dominguez Ramirez, 32 of Antioch, in connection with a vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian.
CHP says they arrested Ramirez on November 22 at 3:03 pm after they had been seeking information for the November 16 crash at SR-4, wet of Newport Drive in the Town of Discovery Bay. He is currently being held on a $50k bail at the Martinez Detention Facility for Felony Hit and Run.

UPDATE: We need your help. Hit and run fatality on westbound Highway 4 near Discovery Bay
Last night, 11/16/23, at 11:42pm, CHP Contra Costa was advised of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on Highway 4 near Newport Drive. An unknown vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 4 struck a pedestrian and the driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop and fled the scene. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
This crash is still under investigation.
