The Contra Costa Water District has announced it has launched its annual Water Awareness Youth Art Contest with entries due by May 10.

This is a fun activity that helps local youths learn about this precious resource and express their artistic talents!

This year, they are asking you to show us how you use water at home or in the community. Talk to your family and friends to find out why tap water is important to them. Be creative!

How do you and your family use water? Draw your answer and be creative! Water is used for:

  • Hydration
  • Swimming
  • Watering the yard
  • Cooking and cleaning
  • Preparing food
  • and much more

Entries will be accepted through May 10. Winning entries receive a $75 gift card, printed copies of the calendar, and a certificate of appreciation!
