The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District rescued a downed horse in El Sobrante Monday which took four hours.

According to the District:

On April 8, at 11:11 a.m., Contra Costa Fire was dispatched to El Sobrante for a downed horse that was stuck in mud and branches on very steep terrain. Magic Ben, the horse, had been found by his owner around 9:00 a.m., and after she was unable to get him out she called for assistance.
