Person Found Hanging From Tree in Antioch Park

On Monday, the Antioch Police Department responded to a report of a person who was found hanging from a tree in a local park.

The person was discovered just before 9:00 am at Yellowstone and Calaveras Cir in the City of Antioch. Police have since cautioned off the area and aware awaiting for the county coroner to arrive on scene. A chair was tipped over next to the person.

Suicide is suspected, however, police are still investigating the incident. No other information was available on scene. Additional details will be released as they become available.

Antioch Bridge Jumper

On Saturday, 29, a person jumped from the Antioch Bridge just after 6:00 am. Contra Costa County Fire and the US Coast Guard responded. no update has been provided.
