Oakley: 8 Injured in Sunday Morning Crash on E Cypress Road

At 9:52 am Sunday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a rollover crash at E Cypress Road at Summer Lake Drive in the City of Oakley.

Upon AMR arrival, they reported a 3-vehicle crash with at least one vehicle on its roof and reported a total of 6 patients. Engine 53 crew arrived on scene reporting at least one engine compartment on fire.

A total of 2 medical helicopters have been requested along with 6 AMR units.

As of 10:00 am, the patient count was 1 critical, 1 with major injuries and 6 with minor to non-injury who were involved in the crash. The vehicle fire has been extinguished.

10:14 am Update
BC5 has requested to cancel the 2nd medical helicopter and instead 2 more additional AMR units for a total of 8.

TRAFFIC PLAN
All inbound (East bound) traffic to Bethel Island or the Summer Lake community is to use the following route East Cypress>Jersey Island Road>Dutch Slough Road>Bethel Island Road.

All outbound (leaving Bethel Island/Summer Lake Community) is to use a land dam/levee at the end of Sandmound Boulevard. This route needs to be used with caution. This route will take you to Holland Tract Road and Delta Road. Use Delta Road to make your way to the Knightsen/Oakley area.
