At 3:58 am Friday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Byron Highway near Holey Road in the Town of Byron.
Crews arrived on scene reporting they had one patient with moderate injuries from a possible ejection from a vehicle. A medical helicopter was requested and was to land at the Byron Airport.
The female was approximently 40-years-old with a leg fracture and left arm and shoulder pain.
According to CHP, they are reporting a fog advisory from Discovery Bay to Willow Pass Road.
4:44 am UPDATE: due to elevated fog in the area, the medical helicopter was unable to land. The patient was ground transported.
