The Antioch Police Department announced that on January 26, at approximately 10:00 pm, Officer Downie attempted a traffic enforcement stop on the pictured vehicle on Sycamore Drive in the city of Antioch.
The vehicle made the mistake of refusing to stop for the emergency lights and siren.
The vehicle was pursued into Oakley, and the driver ultimately stopped at the Arco Gas Station located at 4501 Main Street in Oakley. The driver was taken into custody with the assistance of Oakley Police Officers.
There were also two passengers in the vehicle that were released.
The driver had prior felony convictions and a search of the vehicle revealed he was in possession of the two firearms, an AR-15 pistol and a Glock handgun. He was booked into county jail for multiple firearms related charges and evading arrest, since he decided not to pull over when Officer Downie conducted the traffic enforcement stop.
No other information was released nor were the suspects.

Prior felony convictions, firearms and Sycamore Drive, absolutely NO surprise there.
So now comes plea bargaining to avoid cost of a trial, maybe three years out in less than two.
Good job LE.
To bad this is soft on crime CA, our jails should have revolving doors.
This is the kind of crime that deserves a book thrown
