The Pittsburg Police Department is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that left one juvenile deceased.
The crash occurred Friday at 12:11 pm at Railroad Avenue at Marks Blvd in the City of Pittsburg which has shut down the roadway in both directions.
According to preliminary information, a 15-year-old was riding a dirt bike when he ran a red light and struck another vehicle. No other information was provided.

This afternoon at approximately 1207hrs, Pittsburg Police responded to a traffic collision on Railroad Ave and Marks Ave. Officers located a 15 year old male juvenile who was involved in a solo vehicle collision while operating a dirt bike on a public roadway. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Traffic investigators are on scene and this an ongoing investigation.

Unfortunately, the dirt bike tried to hit and run but was unsuccessful.
Where is someone putting blame? Regardless of how it occurred . A mother is grieving the loss of her son.

Its called the consequences of your actions. Parents knew kid rides bike illegally. Kid rides and bad happened.
Me and my mom were at bonfare just watching it. It was so sad. My mom saw him die. He twitched. I saw his siblings crying and his family. I felt so bad. Rip.

At the end of the day a child lost his life. Kids do things they are learning. They dont realize what we as adult’s do. The parents may have not even known, kids are kids as we all were. Have hearts for parents suffering the worst loss. And for a young boy who lost his. No one deserves this especially a child. Hateful comments are by far disgusting.
The surprise is that this doesn’t happen more often. Kids are reckless and dirt bikes are hard to see. I see kids on dirt bikes taking chances every day, and it’s always one step away from mayhem. For this kid, it’s over. Too bad

I see all these bleeding heart comments about what happened and yes it is a horrible tragedy. No parent should bury a child. But my question is where were the parents when this child was riding wheelies up and down Railroad at will for months and was running from Pittsburg PD ? Blew through a red light, riding an illegal vehicle on the street and ” The parents didn’t know”, how about parents were too busy to care about his illegal activity. Kids having kids ? Unfortunately he found a way to fix STUPID !

All the comments here ask empathy for the kid and his mother, and that is fine. But what about the driver of the car? Can you imagine you hit someone who then dies? Besides this the driver could also be physically injured. And chances are the deceased kid had no insurance. Who is the victim here?
