Brentwood Robbery Suspects in Custody After Pursuit into Antioch

by CC News

On Thursday around 2:00 pm, the Brentwood Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Bank of America at Lone Tree Way and Shady Willow Lane, where a witness reported a suspect putting on a ski-mask while in the vehicle.

This vehicle matched the description of a vehicle involved in two earlier robberies in Antioch–including Bank of the West.

When our officers arrived on scene, the vehicle fled the parking, striking a Brentwood Police patrol vehicle causing minor damage. A vehicle pursuit was initiated, continued eastbound Lone Tree Way before entering westbound Highway 4 at a high rate of speed.

According to Police, just before entering Highway 4, the suspect vehicle collided with two vehicles on Lone Tree Way; nobody was injured.

Brentwood Police terminated the pursuit for safety reasons, however, Oakley Police Department officers later picked it up and minutes later the suspect vehicle became disabled in the City of Antioch on Garrow Drive after colliding with a curb.

Two suspects were ultimately apprehended without injury and taken into custody by Antioch Police Department officers. Agencies will continue to work together on preparing a case for the District Attorney.

No other information was released, including suspect information or the two other robberies in Antioch.

Note – it is also unknown if any of these suspects are connected to the BAC Community Bank robbery on Deer Valley Road on Monday
