At 4:27 pm Thursday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire in the 1800 block of Lakewood Drive in the City of Oakley.
While responding, smoke was showing.
Upon arrival, CONFIRE units reported there was a vegetation fire behind five homes on Lakewood Drive. They requested a full vegetation response as a precaution.
By 4:41 pm, the fire was knocked down.
