The California Highway Patrol reports that one person has died in a fatal vehicle crash on SR-242 in Pleasant Hill.
According to CHP, on June 1 at about 11:30pm, Contra Costa CHP was advised of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on southbound SR-242, south of Clayton Road.
At the time of the crash, a female pedestrian was in the lanes of traffic of southbound SR-242. A grey Lexus IS-250 was traveling southbound and struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Lexus was not injured and the passenger of the Lexus suffered minor injuries.
