Toddler Injured After Falling Out of Second-Story Window in Brentwood

On July 12 at 10:39 am, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a toddler that had fallen from a second story window.

The incident occurred on Bear Creek Drive in the City of Brentwood where a medical helicopter responded to transport the toddler to Children’s Hospital in Oakland.

According to preliminary information, today ambulances and fire personnel responded to a toddler that has fallen out of a window while playing near an open window. The weight of the child knocked the screen out and the child fell all the way to the cement ground.

We are reminded with the weather getting hotter, be mindful of toddlers playing by upstairs windows that are open.

No other information was provided on the incident.
