The East County Performing Arts Center announced it will offer its first annual performing arts scholarship with applications due by September 15.
Here is the release:
Brentwood, California — East County Performing Arts Center (ECPAC) is a performing arts studio, located in the heart of Brentwood that offers dance, musical theater, voice and acting classes for kids.
There is a class for everyone at ECPAC, whether your child is looking to learn how to dance or wanting to grow their musical theater passion. Most importantly, all are welcomed into an inclusive, positive environment that allows dancers to develop their skills and confidence.
ECPAC is more than just a performing arts center with talented dancers. Our dancers go beyond technique to develop important life skills, learning to be respectful, confident and conscientious young people who share their gifts and talents with the community. We are proud to be part of the Brentwood community and are always looking for ways we can actively support and give back.
This is why we have decided to create ECPAC’s first annual Community Performing Arts Scholarship, a program that invites children throughout the Brentwood Union School District, in grades TK-8th, the opportunity to apply for a full-year tuition scholarship.
Students are invited to complete an application by September 15, 2023.
One scholarship will be awarded to one student from each school in the Brentwood Union School District. Students will be given the opportunity to select the genre of performing arts they would like to practice for their scholarship term (acting, musical theater, vocal show choir, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, or acrobatics).
It is a privilege to be able to offer this scholarship program to students living in our community. We are excited and ready to welcome those with a passion for the arts to the ECPAC family.
