On Wednesday, Loaves and Fishes Contra Costa County announced its grand reopening of its dinning room is set for August 24 at 12:00 pm.

Here is their release:

PITTSBURG, Calif. — Due to COVID-19, Loaves and Fishes Contra Costa was forced to shut down our dining rooms which left thousands of community members without a safe and cool indoor space to sit and share a nourishing meal. LFCC was able to pivot serving meals in “to-go” containers out its front doors and providing pre-filled bags with groceries from its food pantries.

Today we are thrilled to announce that the Pittsburg Dining room is the first of LFCC’s 5 dining rooms welcoming back indoor dining. Dan, one of our many clients here at LFCC, said “It is important to help and watch out for each other. LFCC is an excellent program and a life saver for me.”

Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa (LFCC) is celebrating the reopening of its Pittsburg dining room to communal dining allowing for a hybrid service model accommodating both takeaway and indoor meal service.

Thursday, August 24 at 12:00 pm LFCC’s Pittsburg Dining room, in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County, located at 1415 Simpson Court, Pittsburg, California will host a ribbon cutting event featuring guest volunteer Shanelle Scales-Preston, Pittsburg City Council and a proclamation from Dina Sanchez from the Office of Assemblymember Timothy Grayson.
