Firefighters to Host “Fill the Boot” for Maui Wildfire Victims

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District announced it will host a special fill the boot fundraising event to assist those impacted by the Maui wildfires.

During a “fill the boot”, firefighters volunteer their time and hold out their fire boots and collect money from patrons who want to contribute to a particular cause–in this case, Maui wildfire victims.

According the to District, they will host an event in the City of Concord and in the City of Walnut Creek on August 31.

  • 9:00 am to 12:00 pm – Downtown Walnut Creek in Broadway Plaza
  • 4:00 pm – Music in the Park at Todos Santos Park in Concord.

There will be a Haka performance by Local 1230 Firefighters during the “music in the park” event.
