The City of Brentwood has announced City Manager Tim Ogden will host a town hall meeting with the community on November 8 and December 9.
Here is the message:
The Brentwood City Council, in a spirit of transparency and resident engagement, has invited me to host monthly meetings with residents to discuss any questions you have about what’s happening in the city. These monthly meetings, ‘Town Halls with Tim,’ will vary in days, times, and locations to accommodate more residents.
Last month, I had the pleasure of visiting a packed town hall at the Summerset 1 retirement community. Questions were addressed covering maintenance issues at the closed Diablo 9 golf course, citywide retail crime, recycled water expansion, Costco, Lazy Dog, and school traffic concerns, to name just a few of the items discussed. Some responses needed additional research and have been funneled back through the Summerset 1 HOA directly.
This Thursday, November 8, ‘Town Halls with Tim’ will be held at the Council Chambers in City Hall at 5:30 pm. Another opportunity will be on Saturday, December 9, at 9:30 am at the Farmers’ Market. Future ‘Town Halls with Tim’ will be held in other locations across the city, may include some of the executive team by topics, and hopefully continue to be a useful information resource for you in an informal setting. Brentwoodians and the people they’re electing are becoming nuts. Theres always a fall to a city and Brentwood is heading in that direction. Brentwoodians are destroying themselves. If only YOU ALL voted to STOP the building, but no YOU ALL opened your arms and said “Bring you baggage and come to Brentwood :)” Just like Kenny said- Brentwoodians are becoming loose.
