Arrest Made in Friday Stabbing in Unincorporated Oakley

An Oakland Man is in custody after a woman was found with stab wounds in unincorporated Oakley. he was booked on attempted murder charges

On Friday at about 8:45 am, Contra Costa County Sheriff deputies from the Delta Station were dispatched to the 2500 block of Mariner Road in unincorporated Oakley for a welfare check.

The caller reported that a woman was unresponsive at a residence. Deputies arrived and located the victim who suffered from stab wounds.

AMR and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded and rendered aid and the female victim was transported to an area hospital.

Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office detectives later arrested the suspect. He is identified as 32-year-old Dylan Rivera of Oakland. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on charges that include attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, mayhem, and felony domestic violence. Rivera is being held in lieu of $1,265,000 bail.
