Arrest Made in Robbery at Pleasant Hill Credit Union

The Pleasant Hill Police Department announced the arrest of a Pittsburg man in connection with a robbery at a credit union.

On January 19, 2024, at approximately 11:40 AM, the Pleasant Hill Police Department received reports that a note pass robbery had occurred at the Pacific Service Credit Union.  There was no report of any weapons being involved and no employees or customers sustained any injuries.

The suspect had fled the scene prior to Pleasant Hill Police Department arrival. Pleasant Hill Police Department patrol officers along with the Pleasant Hill Police Department Investigations Bureau began following up on possible leads with the assistance of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.

Later in the evening Pleasant Hill Police Department Investigators served a search and arrest warrant leading to the arrest of the suspect, Jeffery Baker, a 34 year old male resident of Pittsburg, CA, who was booked into Martinez Detention Facility.

Evidence related to the robbery was collected and the case will be presented to the Contra Costa County’s District Attorney’s Office.

No other information was released on the incident by Pleasant Hill Police.
