One Wounded in Saturday Afternoon Shooting in Antioch

At approximately 3:15 pm Saturday, the Antioch Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the City of Antioch.

The shooting occurred on Hemingway Drive off Blythe Drive where one person was wounded and later transported to an area hospital.

While responding, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters and AMR were requested to stage as Antioch Police were dealing with an active domestic with someone armed in the garage area of a home and one person with a gunshot wound.

Antioch Police have not released any information on the incident and the condition of the person wounded is not known.

This is the third known shooting in the City of Antioch this week. On Friday, a male was shot at on Mark Twain Drive while on Thursday, a male was shot in the shoulder on Devpar at Sunset. Antioch also has one fatal shooting for 2024.

Also on Friday, BART police responded to the Pittsburg BART station where a shooting left two people wounded.

I grew up on Nightingale, this type of crap only happens because the neighborhoods allow it. You have to be vigilant to clear your own mess of a neighborhood up. The residents are trash and they don’t draw down on the scum. Send them to the Devil ASAP. Lamar can join them, we’ll dig an extra deep one for all to fit in.
